Waste water treatment in terms of filtration is defined by different levels. Each level, depending on micron rating (or filtration depth) removes a different waste element from the water. The initial filters will typically remove visible solids and suspended constituents, but as the waste water moves through lower micron filters, minute contaminants are filtered out.
